Yximalloo, by Tadhg O’Sullivan, 2014. 75 min.
Trailer:
Yximalloo is an obscure cult musician who has spent most of his 57 years on the fringes of music and society. Perennially uncertain of what he wants, he is constantly moving – drawing people to him before pushing them away and setting out alone once more. We meet him at a key moment in this cycle – amidst the dying embers of a failing romance in an anonymous Dublin suburb. Shot over a year in Ireland, Japan and the U.S., the film is a unique portrait of one man’s inability and unwillingness to fit in.
Donation: 3 Eur or more to keep movie night going.
